There is an option in the Windows DHCP Server that allows us to define static routes. That allows all the client computers besides getting an IP address, netmask and so on, get also static routes appart from the default gateway.

Handy way to avoid configuring manually in each and every computer the routes using CLI, avoid also using PSExec to do it remotely and even the need to publish specific scripts in NetLogon folder. It is the cleanest way indeed.

Let’s see how is it done. Go to your DHCP MMC, then at the Server or at Scope level, you can modify options to begiven to the clients. Look for the following one:

Next time a computer gets a lease, it will get the static routes you added here populating its routing table.
