Authenticate Cisco devices with Windows NPS
Let’s see how to perform Cisco device authentication using the Radius server included with NPS on Windows Server 2008.
- First of all we need to install Windows Server Network Policy and Access Services. We do this with the Server Administrator console.
 - Second, configure the client on the NPS console.
 - Add the Network Policy needed to enable logins.
 - Configure the Cisco router or other Cisco device as shown. Notice that I configure console authentication to “none”. If something goes wrong this will avoid locking me out.
 - Finally, test the configurations by login.

Hope this helps.
